Margaret Greene Park ruled out as Metrolinx power substation site

This is truly a win for the neighbourhood. The Metrolinx proposal to construct a power substation in Margaret Greene Park has been ruled out!

I was pleased to have assisted, answering emails, phone calls, discussions with City Staff, organizing the meeting in the park with neighbours and a Metrolinx representative, and moving the motion of objection at Council. Thank you to all the neighbours for their commitment. There were many anxious times, many months of uncertainty and all your work paid off.
